Where Cards Fall Wins an Apple Design Award

I’ve read so many stories about great bands that were inspired by ones that came before them. Son House inspired The White Stripes. Nirvana inspired Sleater-Kinney. Springsteen inspired Arcade Fire.

As designers, we too are influenced by our forebears. Apple had a tremendous influence on our work at The Game Band. I’ve watched every one of their keynotes since I was a teenager. I loved their clarity of vision, their attention to detail, their bold choices, and most of all, their commitment to making technology approachable to everyone.

We at The Game Band follow the trail that Apple paved in our mission to expand and diversify the audience for video games. It’s an incredible honor for our work to be recognized by the company that helped inspire it.
