During Latesiesta, The Game Band discovered that a few users had excessively exploited a bug to accumulate a large amount of coin, and spent that coin on both renovations and votes in an attempt to rig Sunday’s Election. This exploit has been addressed, the fix is live, and it is no longer possible to abuse.

The abuse of this exploit is seen by The Game Band as a betrayal of the community’s trust and a violation of the intended mechanics of Blaseball. The accounts associated with these actions have been banned from Blaseball.com.

We want to encourage Fans to strategize, and to work with others to manipulate Blaseball’s rules in interesting ways. We want Fans to engage and experiment with our mechanics. We want Fans to surprise us with their choices. Exploiting a bug to accumulate impossible wealth and single handedly determine vote outcomes does not fall within those lines; flagrant cheating is not part of the game.

With that in mind, the votes placed by these users have been deleted from the upcoming Election, and affected ballparks have been adjusted to reflect the renovations that the community rightfully purchased.

The Crab’s Crabitat regained 7% Fortifications, and lost the Big Buckets renovation. The Crabitat received a 7% boost to Viscosity, and the PsychoAcoustics renovation.

The Steaks’ Steakhouse’s Peanut Weather Boost renovation was removed and replaced with a Coffee Threes Weather Boost renovation.

The Millennials Battin’ Island lost its Peanut Mister renovation.

Thanks for your patience and understanding. Games and the schedule have not been affected by these changes. Please enjoy the rest of Season 14.
